“Ultimate Gray and Illuminating Yellow”
Wow! llyn strong’s fine art jewelry is in step with the global color trends for this year!
In the fall of 2020, as I was planning my new store space at 1322 East Washington Street, Suite C1, in Greenville, I decided that the interior color scheme would be soft dove gray with gold accents (and obviously gold jewelry!) The folks at Pantone, the US color institute responsible for the most important color matching system in the world as well as a major color trend forecaster, somehow channeled my preferences, because the institute paired the two independent colors of solid gray and cheerful yellow for its 2021 colors of the year.

Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, described the pairing as, “a message of positivity supported by fortitude. This is a color combination that gives us resilience and hope. We need to feel encouraged and uplifted; this is essential to the human spirit.” How appropriate as we begin to recover spiritually as well as emotionally and physically from this past year. And I hope that all of you will feel encouraged and energized when you visit our new space.
In the gemstone world, Ultimate Gray brings to mind smoky-gray topaz, gray spinel, Tahitian pearls, gray moonstone, and gray diamonds. Citrine and all the values of yellow found in diamonds, beryl, sapphire, and zircon display forms of Illuminating Yellow. For your next purchase at llyn strong fine art jewelry, consider combining gemstones of both hues in a custom setting to make a dynamic and dramatic statement.
