Custom Favorite #1: “Out of this World” Modullyn Clasp

A favorite with llyn was a unique “Out of this World” Modullyn clasp and pendant set with a 15.46ct. red tourmaline carved into a moon face accented by a crescent shaped moon paved with 88 champagne diamonds all set in 18K rose gold. The red tourmaline was selected during one of our Gemstone Roundtables. To finish the piece in spectacular detail are the phases of the moon in oxidized sterling silver!
Custom Favorite #2: “Four Directions” Mint Green Tourmaline

Another brilliant piece was an amazing 4.12ct. “Four Directions” mint green tourmaline from the Congo cut by Larry Woods surrounded by mint green and white diamonds set in 18K white gold as a ring. The tourmaline was also a Gemstone Roundtable purchase. Our customer fell in love with this truly beautiful princess ring!
Custom Favorite #3: Handsome Man-Brooch

A truly handsome man-brooch in the shape of a feather was created from a pair of stones purchased at a Gemstone Roundtable. What a unique way to use a pair of stones! The stones are hematite, titanium and silver quartz carved and assembled by nationally known stone carver Steve Walters and set in oxidized sterling silver.
Custom Favorite #4: Unusual 18K Yellow Gold Ring

Customers also bring in their own stones for us to get creative with. This unusual 18K yellow gold ring was set with two octagon shaped sapphires. They are both natural yellows to blues in color and are accented by six baguette diamonds.
Stock Favorite #1: “Heart of the Dragon” Unbreakable Heart
One of our favorite pieces that we created as a stock piece is “The Heart of the Dragon.” It is made from rusted iron, sterling silver and 18K yellow gold and is part of our one-of-a-kind “Unbreakable Heart” series. We have been making Unbreakable Hearts out of iron, precious metals and stones for approximately 25 years.
Stock Favorite #2: 18k White Gold Ring with 5 Natural Colored Rose Cut Diamonds
Another favorite was one our rose ring designs. Each of these rings are very wearable with a low profile and are set with five to seven rose cut diamonds in either 18K white, yellow or rose gold.
Gemstone Roundtables
In 2024, llyn strong fine art jewelry hosted two Gemstone Roundtables, one in April and one in October. Our April Roundtable was a huge success and sadly was the last one that our beloved gem dealers, the Algers, are attending as they are now enjoying retirement after almost half a century in the business. October was our first independent Roundtable, which was also successful, but was unexpectedly interrupted by Hurricane Helene that affected a large part of the Southeast. We are grateful to have survived such a devastating natural disaster.
Our Gemstone Roundtables offer our customers a memorable and magical buying experience. It gives you the opportunity to select gemstones suited to your unique personality. Our Roundtables also allow you to become part of the process of designing a custom piece of jewelry that embodies your tastes and style.
During our live Gemstone Roundtables, guests will enjoy food, camaraderie, and access to the finest and most beautiful gemstones.
One stone that was selected from our Spring Roundtable was a fabulous star patterned rutilated quartz. Our customer then was a part of designing a wonderful bracelet with this stone, by repeating the shapes in the stone as a sunflower.
Trip to New Hampshire
In May of 2024, Sydney and llyn strong traveled to New Hampshire, the offices of the James Alger Co., to select gemstones to create our own larger in-house gem collection. What a great experience looking through thousands of high-quality gemstones to personally select a curated variety for our customers!!! We had a great time!

New Intern

When summer arrived, we hired a new intern, Emily Karamol. A native of Greenville, SC, Emily attended Eastside High School and The Fine Arts Center, where she was introduced to the art of jewelry. She quickly became a part time employee and is doing our pearl and bead stringing, learning to cast, weld and is setting stones. Emily will no doubt become an accomplished female bench jeweler and goldsmith. We love having her as part of our llyn strong team!
Best Jewelry Store
We at llyn strong fine art jewelry are honored to be named the winner of “The Best Jewelry Store” by The Post and Courier Greenville. More than 10,000 Greenville residents voted, and we couldn’t be more thankful!
Nana
The most exciting news that llyn received in 2024 was that she found out that she will be a grandmother for the first time in early 2025!
As we close the chapter on this remarkable year, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who trusted us to create something truly special. Your stories, celebrations, and creativity continue to inspire us. Being a women-owned small business, every piece we design is a labor of love, and your support fuels our passion and commitment. As we look ahead to the new year, we’re excited to continue crafting meaningful jewelry that tells your unique stories. Here’s to another year of creativity, connection, and celebrating life’s most cherished moments—together.
