“Gift”- noun – something given voluntarily without payment in return, as to show favor toward someone, honor an occasion, or make a gesture of assistance: present. At llyn strong fine art jewelry in Greenville, SC, we create gifts that represent more than just the mere definition of the word. Our one-of-a-kind gifts represent love and commitment with a story to tell. They truly reflect the “art of giving.” Here are several curated selections by six of our employees that each would love to give or receive as a gift.

1. Kate, an Opal
Kate, our CAD technician, would gift an opal – one of nature’s natural paintings. Each opal is unique and comprised of tiny spheres of silica which give opals the ability to diffract light into flashes of rainbow color. When given a loose stone as a gift, you are giving the recipient the ability to create their own personal piece of art jewelry. And, as Kate says, “the custom process is so much fun!” What better way to show your love.
2. Faron, A Creative Cuff Bracelet
Faron, one of our gifted goldsmiths and stone setters, would give a creative cuff bracelet “because they are so customizable and can be personalized in so many ways.” Each cuff bracelet is a gift for the present, but stones and imagery can always be added to them in the future. They become more personal and more cherished over time.
3. Erin – Azniv’s Link Bracelet
Erin, our head goldsmith and studio guru, selected Azniv Chorbadjian’s link bracelet made from oxidized sterling silver with 22K yellow gold accents. She would gift this to her long-time partner because it would look great on him, and he would love wearing it! Erin did not forget her sister in her gift giving, and chose a 14K yellow gold and oxidized sterling silver tear dropped shape necklace to layer with her other necklace. This pendant was made and created by Faron Justice.
4. Azniv, A Laser Sintered Gold Plated Link Bracelet
Azniv, also a bench jeweler, goldsmith and stone setter, chose one of Erin Stuart’s laser sintered nylon and yellow gold plated link bracelets for her best friend. She was very thoughtful in selecting this piece, not only for its beauty, but it is very lightweight, as her friend has arthritis. Azniv did not forget her fiancée, as she would gift him with “Dubois Petroglyphs,” an encaustic painting by llyn strong, “because it would look fantastic in our home!”
5. Sydney, a Paraiba Tourmaline
Sydney, owner and Graduate Gemologist, selected, of course, a Paraiba Tourmaline either as a finished piece of jewelry or as a loose stone that someone could customize. After all, it has always been her favorite stone and what better gift to give than something that you love yourself! She also selected gifts of our hand blown wine and champagne stems created by Minh Martin, a nationally renowned glass blower.
6. llyn, Lots and Lots of Diamond Strands
llyn, founder and Chief Creative Officer (CCO), would choose to gift lots and lots of diamond strands to be worn individually or layered. We offer these in many colors and what better way to wear tens, if not hundreds, of carats of diamonds at any time either casually or dressy. Like Marilyn Monroe said, “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend!” Who wants to be on llyn’s gift list?!
A Few Holiday Gift Suggestions
Designed and made by llyn strong for the person in your life that has everything!
“Munsteiner’s Wald Am See” (German for Munsteiner’s Forest by the Lake)
A tabletop sculpture with removable jewelry. This piece is made from oxidized sterling silver and 18k yellow and rose gold and five stones cut by Bernd Munsteiner, the creator of the fantasy style of stone cutting. It includes a pendant set with a green tourmaline, a ring set with an amethyst, and a pair of earring jackets set with a citrine and a garnet. “You must see it to appreciate it!”
“Moth” brooch, pendant and tabletop sculpture
Made from 18K gold, sterling silver, Australian opal, colored stones, diamonds and coral. The moth flies off its stand to be worn as either a brooch or a pendant.
“Venus”
A piece from llyn’s Angel Collection. Venus can be worn as a brooch or a pendant and is also a tabletop sculpture. And to top it off, her wings can be removed and be worn as earring jackets, thus making her a goddess. She is everything a girl needs!
